2021 Semifinals: Final Year of NBC Broadcasts

The 2021 NHL postseason marks the final year that NBCUniversal's family of networks will broadcast the league's road to the Stanley Cup. Beginning in 2022, ESPN and ABC will take over exclusive coverage of the NHL for the next seven years.

Reseeded Standings

When the playoffs reached the Stanley Cup Semifinals, the four remaining playoff teams were re-seeded based on their regular season point totals. The top remaining seed played the lowest remaining seed, with the other two teams facing off in the other semifinal series.

Matchups and Schedule

The 2021 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Semifinals will feature the following matchups:

  • No. 1 Colorado Avalanche vs. No. 4 Vegas Golden Knights
  • No. 2 Tampa Bay Lightning vs. No. 3 New York Islanders

The Semifinals will be played in a best-of-seven format, with the winners advancing to the Stanley Cup Final. The schedule for the Semifinals is as follows:

  • Game 1: Monday, June 14
  • Game 2: Wednesday, June 16
  • Game 3: Friday, June 18
  • Game 4: Sunday, June 20
  • Game 5: Tuesday, June 22 (if necessary)
  • Game 6: Thursday, June 24 (if necessary)
